UDP-glucuronic acid trisodium is a carboxylic acid-forming sugar nucleotide. It can participate in the biosynthesis of various cellular components. Sodium UDP-glucuronate is a glycosyl donor for glycosyltransferases used in the biosynthesis of several cellular components such as glycosaminoglycans, certain N- and O-linked glycans, glycosphingolipids and pectin.
